Mr. K. Shamshi Tabrez has been appointed as Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) for 03 years with effect from November 10, 2010. Prior to this appointment, he worked as Deputy Managing Director at the same bank. He served in DBBL in various capacities in divisions of Head Office  and Branch.

Mr. Tabrez has long 35 years experience in both DFIs and the commercial Banks. After graduating as an MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka in the year 1974, he started his career with Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha. He also served with SABINCO, BASIC Bank, Eastern Bank in different capacities andin Jamuna Bank as DMD.

Mr. Tabrez participated in a number of training programs, seminars in banking and finance both at home and abroad including courses on “Accounting and Micro Economics” conducted by FSRP of The World Bank, “Finance and the Environment in Asia” conducted by UNEP at Singapore and “Strategy in Banking and Management” at Dublin/London under the Fellowship of the FMO, The Netherlands. He is an overseas Fellow of EDI of The World Bank.
