Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) donated Tk. 1.98 crore to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) to bear the cost of repairing and renovation works of the existing auditorium at A-block of BSMMU campus which will be named as “Bangabandhu Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium”. Mr. Sayem Ahmed, Chairman of Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of DBBL handed over a payment order of Tk. 1.98 corer to Professor Pran Gopal Datta, the Vice Chancellor of the University at a simple ceremony held at Milton Hall of the University on November 1, 2010. Among others, Professor Dr. Ruhul Amin Miah, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), Professor Dr. Md. Shahidullah, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin), Professor Dr. Moazzem Hossain, Treasurer of BSMMU, Mr. K.S. Tabrez and Mr. Md. Mosaddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors of Dutch-Bangla Bank and senior officials of both the organizations were present at the occasion.
