Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has installed a co-branded ATM booth at Bangladesh Bank’s premises. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank (BB) inaugurated the ATM booth by drawing money through DBBL Nexus Card on December 26, 2010. Mr. Murshid Kuli Khan, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Sayem Ahmed, Chairman of the EC of the Board of Directors of DBBL were present at the inauguration program. This ATM is linked to BB’s computerized database for authorizing online ATM transactions using debit cards.

Dr. Atiur Rahman in his oration profusely lauded the role of Dutch-Bangla Bank for adopting modern and latest IT technology for rendering modern banking services to the doorsteps of the customers. The Governor also mentioned that the employees of Bangladesh Bank would be able to withdraw their salary from all the 1100 ATM of DBBL including the one installed today at the BB premises. He praised the IT Division of BB for successfully integrating BB’s system with the ATM network of DBBL using its own resources.

Mr. Sayem Ahmed, Chairman of the EC of the Board of Directors  acknowledged the policies and support the Bangladesh Bank has provided to digitize the banking system of the country. He further mentioned that DBBL’s products and services are strongly supported by IT infrastructure and online banking facilities which are upgraded and expanded on a continuous basis. Many of DBBL’s services including online banking and ATM services are offered free of cost or at affordable cost.

Among others, Mr. K. S. Tabrez, Managing Director, Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Deputy Managing Director of DBBL and senior officials of both the organizations were present at the occasion.

Bangladesh Bank & DBBL ATM
