Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited signs Mobile Banking Agreement with Airtel

Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL) signed an agreement with Airtel, a telecommunication service provider on 12 September, 2011 at Airtel’s head office in the city. Under this agreement, both the parties agreed to collaborate with each other to launch mobile financial services and take them closer to the door steps of the customers. Mr. A.S.M. Sakib Sikder, Head of Legal of Airtel and Mr. Mir Mominul Huq, VP & Head of Mobile Banking Division of DBBL signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

During the signing ceremony Mr. K. S. Tabrez, Managing Director & Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Deputy Managing Director of DBBL, Mr. Chris Tobit, CEO
& Mrs. Rubaba Dowla, CSO of Airtel and other high officials from both the organizations were present at the ceremony.

Mr. Chris Tobit said, Airtel is proud to be associated with DBBL in terms of Mobile Banking Service. At Airtel, all our efforts revolve around our customers- to make their lives easier and thus become much closer to them. This partnership will also help to bank the large unbanked population of the country.
