Under the Smile-Brighter program, Dutch-Bangla Bank organized a 4 day long plastic surgery operation campaign at bank’s own cost at Center for Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP), Savar, Dhaka for the poor cleft-lipped boys and girls to bring back the endearing smile on their faces. The four-day operation campaign started on February 12, 2013. A total of 60 boys and girls would be operated upon by an eminent plastic surgeon Dr. Sharif Hasan. Dr. Valerie A. Taylor, Founder and Coordinator of CRP and Mr. K.S. Tabrez, Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank visited the operation camp and inquired about the cleft-lipped patients at the hospital.
