Dutch-Bangla Bank donates Tk. 100.0 million to Faridpur Diabetic Association

Dutch-Bangla Bank donates Tk. 100.0 million to Faridpur Diabetic Association to meet up the cost of construction of 5 floors (11th to 15th floor) of the Diabetic Association Medical College & Hospital Building at Jhiltuly, Faridpur. In this regard an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between Faridpur Diabetic Association and Dutch-Bangla Bank on 6th May, 2015 at Bank’s Head Office, Dhaka. Mr. Mir Nasir Hossain, President of Faridpur Diabetic Association & Chairman, Governing Body, Diabetic Association Medical College & Hospital and Mr. K.S. Tabrez, Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank have jointly signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Faridpur Diabetic Association, a non-profit voluntary socio-medical service organization established in 1983 to serve the distressed humanity who have been suffering from the curse of non-curable disease of diabetes-mellitus. They have taken initiatives to construct the 11th to 15th floors of the hospital building for providing utmost services to the diabetic patients.
While exchanging views, Mr. Mir Nasir Hossain extolled the philanthropic activities carried out by Dutch-Bangla Bank and mentioned that Dutch-Bangla Bank is the pioneer of CSR activities in the financial sector of Bangladesh. Referring to this donation, he expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Bank’s Board of Directors. He added that, this donation would help to provide greater services to the diabetic patients.

Among others, Prof. Sheikh Abdus Samad, General Secretary of Faridpur Diabetic Association,     Mr. Md. Atiar Rahman, Joint Secretary of Faridpur Diabetic Association and Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Mr. Md. Sayedul Hasan, Mr. Khan Tariqul Islam, Deputy Managing Directors of Dutch-Bangla Bank, were present at the signing ceremony.
